is a simple concentrator type solar cooker. Even an elementary school student can build it averagely within a hour. You can learn about concentator or concentrator type solar cooker through the construction of it for yourself. Even though it is very small as 40cm in diameter, it can cook an egg within 30 min. and a half cup of rice in 90 min.



The above figure shows the temperature vs. time when we cooked an egg. (We recommend the level of the water is just to cover the half surface of the egg.)



When you use 350ml can (an ordinary size in the vending machines) as a pot, more than 70% of the light hits the pot. By increasing the cuts from the center and making the width of the division narrower, you can increase the concentration, but we gave priority to the simpleness.‚Ì



Though the concentration is relatively low, but because of that, the robustness is high as a concentrator type solar cooker.
