is designed by the request from a staff at Sano City Board of Education. He wanted a less expensive solar cooker to be used in the summer camp for junior high school students hopefully one for each student. It had to have a practical cooking ability to serve them the lunch. At that time, the cooker was not sold as a kit but it was only a plan and they needed to cut, fold, and assemble it for themselves. After several workshops employing this plan, we stared to sell the complete kit to reduce the time for construction. You can cook a cup of rice in 90 min. with the pan which comes with the cooker. The unfolded shape is very simple but it is difficult to assemble it in adequate form. This characteristics is not a demerit of the cooker but it makes it suitable as an educational material which makes kids to think about reflection.
